Marecon participates in Economic Trade Mission to China

Prime Minister Mark Rutte has paid a visit to China during the last week of March. The visit was accompanied by a business delegation from Marecon and 70 other Dutch companies. The economic mission was led by the Prime Minister and joined by Wilma Mansveld, the Dutch Minister for Environment.
Between 24-29 March the economic mission linked Dutch know-how and aspirations with Chinese counterparts through a wide range of events like seminars, company visits, match making meetings and focused discussions. The economic mission visited Shanghai and Shenzhen.
The program of the business delegation in Shanghai consisted, besides matchmaking events, of the following business events:

Shenzhen China IT capital; Opportunities & Challenges in China’s online market
Agro/urban planning: How to feed the city of Shenzhen
High-Tech: Innovation by Huawei Company
Financial: ICBC workshop
During this mission in Shenzhen Marecon has presented best practices and smart solutions in sustainable urban development and new trends that can contribute to solving the environmental problems and problems of large cities such as mobility, shortage of land use and transport, utilities infrastructure and environment, transformation to sustainable livibable cities and knowledge bases economies.
Also the presentation of best practices in development of Campusses and Technopolises as accelerators of transformation of cities and territories with knowledge based economies, high quality of life and commercially viable projects.
This presentation was given to the leading design institutes from Shenzhen, project developer and members of Reformation committe of city district Pingdi.
After the presentation Marecon was invited to participate in the tender for development of strategy and urban concept for Pilot Area for CO2 low city district of Shenzhen.
